What Does God Think About It?

It’s Another Podcast!

Sitting here this morning, reading some from the Gospel of Matthew, and thinking about yesterday’s Pep Letter.  This podcast talks about wealth and prosperity, and, rich people and prosperity teachers.

As always, the answers are in the Book.  In this short podcast (10:09), find out what God thinks.

Are You Stressed?

There’s so much going on right now with my “day job” that I’ve been too busy to post.  I’m talking about 12 to 14 hour days, as the company is in a transition period.  Busy, busy, busy.

Have there been times in your life where you feel like you’re chasing the caboose instead of riding in the train?  Me too.  And at those times when you are busy, busy, busy, you get allow yourself to get stressed.

One of the things that helps me is remembering the verse that says, “Let the peace of God rule in your heart…”  God has already given us His peace, but it is up to us to let that peace rule in our hearts.  If we don’t, then stress will rule.

The later part of that same verse says, “Be ye thankful.”  That’s a big part of letting God’s peace rule in your heart.  I have reminded myself of that verse many times in the last week and a half.  But just reminding yourself of a verse doesn’t do anything.

I have chosen to apply what the verse says; be thankful, and so I remind myself of many things that I have to be thankful for.  That is very helpful in letting the peace of God rule in your heart.

So now it is back to the busy, busy, transition.

Have a thankful and peaceful day!

Your Protection Is Your Connection

It’s Another Podcast!

I heard a great phrase the other day: “Your protection is your connection.”  In these turbulent days that we are living in, it is our connection with God that will lead us to safe shores.

This podcast takes an honest look at the topic of giving.  Sadly so many preachers misuse and abuse this topic to the end that the real message and the blessings are lost.  Take a few minutes (10:03) and listen; understanding and apply this great principle could have a very, very dramatic impact on your life.

Paying Taxes

Like lots of Americans, I have been spending some time working on my income tax information from last year.  Here in The United States, April 15th is synonymous with taxes.  That is the date we have to file our income tax forms with the IRS.

As I was thinking abut “taxes” I remembered something my dad used to say, and thought I’d do a quick video podcast (1:54) about it.  Dad always used to say that there are two things that you “have to do” in this life.

Enjoy the video.

Concerned About What’s Going On?

It’s Another Podcast!

Most of the people I talk to on a daily basis are very concerned about what is going on here in the United States.  How about you?  If you see the results of polls that are taken, more and more people are becoming deeply concerned that we are on a very wrong course; a course that will have serious consequences.

I see some people who are in “panic mode,” while others have their “head in the sand.”  There is a third option.

In this short podcast (11:23) find out how to live your life in light of the troubling times we live in.   Find out what you can do and what course of action you can pursue.  This information is very timely and very practical.

The Women Found Out First

Today is what is referred to as Good Friday.  This time of year many remember the sufferings of Jesus.  And of course this Sunday is Easter, which some call, “Resurrection Sunday,” as we remember Jesus Christ being raised from the dead to die no more.

If you haven’t read the article I posted this past Wednesday, The Greatest Lie Ever Told,  check it out; it has some great information about the resurrection.  In this short podcast (7:43) I wanted to reiterate a very unique point from that article. It is a very important point that almost no one mentions.

Since it involves the culture of Bible times, I have placed this post here in the Eastern Eye category.

Have a joyous weekend!
