Yes, Jerry, a very good God indeed. And the Bible says that nothing can separate us from His love!

Shalom to you too, my brother.
Bishop K. C. Pillai, (see above links) had three books published. I have learned much from his teachings. I also have access to dozens of his recorded teachings as well. I have not heard of anyone having as much knowledge in this field at he had.

Stephan, it sounds like you ave had a tough year and a half. You need to remember that just because we pray about something and then move forward on it, just because we prayed doesn't force God to make everything right. We pray and ask God for His help, direction, and guidance, and listen for an answer. If there is no answer, then we move forward the best that we know at the moment, continuing to look to God for His direction.
Just remember - God doesn't give stones instead of bread!

I have to say, I am with Al on this....for the last year and a half, I feel like I have been getting led down the garden path with respect to a certain situation. Things look promising in one direction, so after praying about it, I go in that direction. Only to have the rug pulled out from me. And this keeps on happening. Over and over and over again. It sure looks and feels and tastes like a stone to me.

Al, sorry to hear about the past 5 years. I know some teach that God gives us hardships to test us but I don't buy into that. Our God is a very loving God and wants to bless our lives. I did a short, but powerful, ebook on prayer and it is free - scroll up and you'll find the info on the right hand column - "Nine Keys To Answered Prayer." There is some good information in it about prayer.
Just remember, when you pray, expect and look for the answer.

Not so sure, since I asked for something and it has been 5 years of bad luck. maybe, sometimes the Lord gives us scorpions. I am asking for a decent job, but nothing (been 5 years). should I change my name to Job?
