Hi Milagros!
Thanks for your comment.
Isn't it amazing how God can and does open doors for us? Sometimes we may be a little apprehensive, but staying peaceful and moving forward we will always see if it was indeed a door opened by Him or not.
God bless you,
Mike

Let me share the promotion that God gave me. I work for a christian organization that involves micro-finance.But I have nothing to do with it since I was hired as the Spiritual Director of the branch. We have staff who are trained in micro-finance. As far as my job description is concerned, I focus on evangelism and discipleship of our staff and clients. A new structure came in. All Spiritual Directors should head the branch. And it put me in a horrible situation. I hate micro-finance. I don't like business. All I want is preaching the Gospel. But there is no other option. My head who trusts me so much encouraged me. She said, I can make it. It does not really matter if technically I am not qualified. She was telling me that I have a good heart. I gave myself a chance to do the new job but I said to my God "If the branch would not show a good figure or improvement, I'll resign. So, I prayed everyday asking God to lead me. I came to Him whenever I had to make a decision. For any problem I saw, for fear, worry, I lifted it up to Him. It surprised me to see that everything went positively. I got a raise in my salary. I am one of the "calendar girls" featured in our desk calendar which is one of the gifts given to all employees during Christmas. Our organization has 150 branches throughout the country. I could not believe that I would be chosen as a model of servanthood in our organization. Praise be to God. Indeed, promotion comes from God.

Hi Bob:
You are right; Psalm 91 is a fantastic Psalm, filled with hope and deliverance. Reading it certainly gives one confidence in trying times. I especially like the last two verses (15 and 16) that tell what God will do for you!
God bless you,
Mike

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the interview with scott about his promotion and raise. It's refreshing to hear more positive events during these days of dispair in the community of believing around us.Pslm 91:7 is a good deterent against this negative environment. I bring it back to my memory quite often. (Quote) A thousand shall fall at thy side, ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. The whole 91st psalm is a frequently reviewed one to help me renew my mind.God Bless Bob
