Why I Treat People The Way I Do. I’d rather believe a friend’s words and be wrong, than doubt them and be right. I’d rather realize I don’t know what is in someone else’s heart, than be critical and judgmental of what I see.
I’d rather realize I don’t know what is in someone else’s heart, than be critical and judgmental of what I see.

I’d rather forgive someone, knowing they could offend me again, than refuse to forgive in order to protect myself.

I’d rather speak a kind word to someone who doesn’t deserve it, than blast out reproof to someone who really does deserve it.

I’d rather say something good about someone, than speak things about someone that others don’t need to know.

I’d rather love the unlovable, have patience with the long winded, and believe in those whom no one else seems to believe in.

Why?

It’s because, at one time or another, and even still today, that’s how God has treated me. Why? Because His very nature is love.

And so, I’d rather.
