This podcast was excellent. Short and to the point. I’ve been grumbling a lot lately because I feel I”ve been working endlessly with no reward. God says there is reward for those who are dilligent. He just doesn’t say when. During those times of doubt, the points you highlighted certainly are a help. Thanks for the pep talk!
Mike, this is really good…I wish my mom could have heard it while she was still living…she had been a Christian since 5 years old but she was the self-pity queen…example: She came up to our daughter’s nursing school graduation. We had to park in a rough field so we went ahead to get good seats and my husband brought mom. As they crossed the field, if people were close enough to hear, she would say loudly, “who would’ve thought I would be in this shape, who could imagine 5 years ago, I couldn’t hardly walk across this field, etc, etc. My husband found it humerous at how she timed it near people. When I got into this present situation with the fractured bones that haven’t healed, we both almost felt she was a little jealous. I would have gladly let her have it to enjoy if I could know how. lol Actually, it just annoyed the daylights out of me. Now I can laugh about it…it was constantly like that with her…but I never understood why that was enjoyable to her…just glad I don’t need it. lol Thanks Mike..hello Kathy, Rosie and Larry in Sheridan, IN
Hi Rick!
Thanks for the comment. Sometimes we can get discouraged, but a good place to start is remembering that with God there has to be a solution. Keep asking Him for His help and expecting an answer! Those related posts are helpful too.
God bless you,
Mike
Hi Rosie!
Thanks for the comment. Self pity is such a destructive habit and it brings no solution to life’s situations. Our God is a God of solutions, and we look to Him to provide all that we need.
God bless you and Larry,
Mike
