Paying Taxes

Like lots of Americans, I have been spending some time working on my income tax information from last year.  Here in The United States, April 15th is synonymous with taxes.  That is the date we have to file our income tax forms with the IRS.

As I was thinking abut “taxes” I remembered something my dad used to say, and thought I’d do a quick video podcast (1:54) about it.  Dad always used to say that there are two things that you “have to do” in this life.

Moving Forward

There are some people who say God must have a reason why negative things are happening to them.  Others are waiting for God to “do something!”  Others float through life accepting everything that comes their way as the will of God.

Yes, of course we look to God for help and guidance,; we trust Him for His help.  But we must do our part. God expects us to use our oars!   This short video (2:09) is all about moving forward so that God can direct your path.

Easter 2010

Easter is April 4th.  During this time of year we are mindful of the sufferings that Jesus Christ endured on our behalf.  We reflect on the price paid for the redemption of mankind.

In this short video (3:04) I point out three different versions of Isaiah 52:14, a verse that graphically prophesied the extreme physical punishment the Messiah would endure for all of mankind.

He endured all that horrendous punishment and pain.  He laid down his life; he died for us.  And, 3 days and 3 nights later, God raised him from the dead!  The great message at Easter time is, Jesus Christ is alive!

Okay, I decided to do a compilation of all 5 parts of the video series I’ve been doing on John 3:16, the most famous verse in the Bible.  In this video (7:50), I put together all 5 previous videos but left out the introductions.

Isn’t this a marvelous verse?  Someone once referred to it as, “The Gospel in a nutshell.”
