Jesus Christ is alive! God raised him from the dead! And he is coming back!
This Sunday, March 31, Christians around the world will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. God raised him from the dead. The Bible is very clear that after his resurrection, he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God – he is God’s right hand man!
God has put all things (Himself excluded of course) under Jesus Christ. He is the head of the Body. He is lord of all people who have lived. He is our Lord and Savior! It is only through believing in Jesus Christ that a person can gain salvation.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.I Timothy 2:4 and 5
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
It is stunning and remarkable when you consider that Jesus Christ did not establish an institution of higher learning, and yet all the schools of all times could never measure even close to his number of students.
All the rulers who ever reigned, all the government bodies that ever sat, and all the military campaigns ever engaged, have not affected the life of mankind as powerfully and dynamically as Jesus Christ.
The Bible declares he was the Son of God who always did the Father’s will. In his earthly life he carried out and completed God’s great plan of redemption and salvation. One of the last things he said before laying down his life for all of mankind was, “It is finished!”
After his brutal beatings and subsequent crucifixion and death, he remained dead and buried for three days and three nights. Then, his Father, God Almighty, raised him from the dead, to die no more; to live eternally in his new resurrected physical body. God raised him from the dead – Jesus Christ is alive!
Scripture clearly points out numerous times for all mankind to take note, that Jesus Christ is indeed the savior of mankind because God raised him from the dead to die no more. Hundreds of eyewitnesses saw Jesus Christ alive in his resurrected body. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is undeniable.
While there have been other people who have been raised from the dead, no human being has ever been raised from the dead to die no more and to live eternally in a new resurrected body except for one: Jesus Christ. God raised him from the dead! This is why Jesus Christ is lord of all human beings who have ever lived or will ever live. And the great focal point of the preaching in the first century was the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus Christ was the long awaited Messiah, the Christ; he is the savior of mankind! It is he and he alone who laid down his life in payment for the sins of the whole world. And Scripture makes it abundantly clear he truly is the savior, for God marked him out as such by raising him from the dead, to die no more.
The good news is God Almighty now freely gives eternal life to those who believe in Jesus Christ. Romans 10 declares that if anyone confesses or acknowledges, Jesus is indeed lord, and believes in their heart God raised him from the dead, they shall be saved! The Bible declares those who are saved are now born again children of God, receiving eternal life, the gift of holy spirit, as well as all the rights, privileges and abilities detailed in the Scriptures.
The Bible also say s that Jesus Christ is not ashamed to call us (born again ones) his brothers and sisters! We are now a part of God’s family, and Jesus Christ is our brother.
How grateful we are as we celebrate the resurrected Jesus Christ! God raised him from the dead! He is risen! He is alive!
And here’s more good news. God has promised that Jesus Christ is coming back one day. And when that great and glorious day happens, God’s Word says that all those who are saved, born again, whether dead or alive, will be gathered together, to meet Jesus Christ in the clouds, and so shall we ever be with the lord!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
