Mostly I never know for sure if anyone prays for me on any given day. I’d like to think people who love me pray for me. But there are definitely days when it’s very obvious to me that someone recently prayed for me!
I believe in praying for others. I pray for certain people every day, and others as they come to mind or I am inspired to do so.
The Bible, in many places, encourages us to pray, to cast our own cares on Him, to let Him know our requests. It also directs us to pray for each other. God’s Word tell us our prayers help those who minister the Gospel.
We are also encouraged to pray for our government leaders. And there is even a specific type of prayer when we don’t know what we should pray for, allowing the spirit to make intercession.
However, we know it does take time and a deliberate effort to pray, don’t we? Gee, aren’t we busy enough with all the things we need to get done in a day? Is God just giving us extra work to keep us busy by directing us to pray? Or is prayer really effective?
With so much scripture related to prayer, the answer ought to be obvious. And even if you never hear the result of your prayers for someone else, it really doesn’t matter; just pray!
Make time to pray for others on a regular basis. Try to get into a daily habit of asking God if there is someone who needs your prayer
