Happy New Day! I mean, New Year!

Here comes 2010!  Tomorrow begins another New Year, and, the second decade of this century.  I’m anticipating great things in this upcoming year; how about you?

But, not to spoil all the celebration that has already started in many places, do we really need to wait until the end of a year to get excited and full of anticipation for a new and better year?  Why can’t we simply start each new day with the same excitement and anticipation of a New Year?

In this short video (2:15), I talk about starting each new day expecting great things.

Enjoy the video and Happy New Year!

  1. Hi Mike ! God Bless You! 🙂
A great thought !! I too woke up this morning and started to pray about the new year and then it occurred to me….how about expecting a great new day! And then I began to take it a step further and said, to myself, never mind a great new year to start again or a great new day to start again, but rather it is available to expect a great new moment to start again! Every moment I thought I can start again..every negative thought I can and am able to replace with a sound thought from God’s Word…I don’t have to wait for a new year, new day, new morning, new afternoon.. . “just get busy, Carol, replacing your thoughts and expectations moment by moment today because each moment with God is a new beginning” …. I can make new goals all day long every moment. 🙂 So thanks a lot for the video and so fun that God works in all of us to will and do of His good pleasure… I would say, He is well pleased as we change our minds to His Word so He can bless us moment by moment! 🙂 I believe He even says so in Romans 12. Happy Everything today, Mike, and in 2010 tomorrow…. P.S. If we had to wait for 2010 that would mean that Austraila is ahead of us in God’s blessings and their chance to start again and make new goals and expect great things… Silly …hugh… 🙂
    God bless you !!
    Carol 🙂

  2. Hi Carol!
Thanks for your comment. Maybe I should have titled the video, “Happy New Minute!” You are right, we don’t even have to wait for a new morning. Isn’t it great that we can “start over” any time we choose?
So, have a great minute, a great day, a great week, a great month, and a great year!
    God bless you,
    Mike
