I’ve talked to people on many ocassions who like to rationalize everything by saying that God must have a reason why things are happening to them. Maybe you have encountered people like that too. They sort of float through life accepting everything that comes their way as the will of God.
The truth of the matter is that our God expects us to use our oars. Yes, we look to Him for help and guidance, but we must do our part. This short video (2:09) is all about moving forward so that God can direct your path.

Ah, yes…moving forward. Amazing how many Christians who know that God has promised to direct their steps, and that His Word is a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path, still expect Him…or someone else…to pick up their feet and place them on that well-lit path, or perhaps shove them from behind, or pull them along. They take no responsibility for taking any self-propelled action, then wonder why they’re getting absolutely nowhere, sometimes year after year.
Thank you for a great synopsis of what it takes to get anywhere in life! How wonderful that God gave us the gift of free will, and that when we decide to move, no one can stop us unless we allow them to.
