  1. Mike,

As you’ve said before, “righteousness” means that we are “just” or “right” in God’s sight and can now stand before God (and men!) without any sense of guilt, shame, or condemnation because we have been “made right” by God.

How wonderful that the Bible says we are lovely and acceptable in His sight, holy and without blame before Him, and that it has nothing to do with our works, our actions, but it has everything to do with the completed work of Christ. This knowledge takes so much pressure off to be “perfect” or do enough “stuff”, doesn’t it?

I think of my own children, and how ridiculous the thought is that I would love them any more based on the things they do “perfectly”. I just love them! Because they ARE my children, and I can’t help it. Even when they mess up. They are part of me, just as we are part of God, with His spirit in us. He couldn’t NOT love us if He tried!

Thank you once again for an edifying reminder of how BIG our Father’s love is for us, and how unconditional. Whew! Life’s a lot easier when you take the pressure to be perfect off, and just love God back, remaining thankful for all He’s done.

    Have a blessed day~Chere

  2. Thank you. Very good point. I just got home from a very long trip and was amazed at all the blessings and helps God had for me along the way, even though I’m imperfect with potentially cumulated interest!!!! Thank God we do not have to pay… It’s paid in full. What a debt free feeling!!!!!!!!!!
I had to lift an older and large dog, in his kennel in and out of my van several times a day and control a 4 month old whippersnapper of a pup, also large, strong and curious every day for the last 2 weeks. I’m small by most standards so I’m amazed at how good my back feels. Once on the trip, I got locked out of my car, and was able to get back in within minutes. Got locked out of a hotel room and a very unlikely person (by superficial standards…his underwear were entirely visible, though crisp, new and a rather pretty blue plaid) came to my rescue. I had car trouble and mechanics in Laramie troubleshot it and advised me FOR FREE. An officer stopped me in Utah I think and informed me I was going 41 in a 30… I said ” I’m sorry!” He took my license walked off for a minute, came back and said, “This one’s on me.” I have never driven on a long trip in my life before. The men in my life always insisted on driving. I drove most of the way to Idaho…my daughter drove some…pulling a uhaul across the Tetons, whose roads were under construction (10 mph over 4 inch sharp rocks in places). That’s the only time I got a little nervous. I drove all the way home with just the dogs. I had no fear. When circumstances arose… I just prayed (when I remembered to) and God healed, delivered or provided for me. I drove on. The biggest deliverance for me was the NOT FREAKING OUT part. God is so good and He does, grow us up.
