He Is Willing. Are You?

by Mike Verdicchio on April 13, 2009 Print this article

Do you think we would have more confidence in God if we were sure that He was indeed willing to help?  I think so.  But, are we willing?

Last year I heard something from Francesca that was most remarkable about God helping us.  She was our city tour guide and what she said as we were gazing at the statue of David in Florence, Italy, I will never forget.  Enjoy this podcast!

Hi Mike !

Great! I enjoyed it !! Sometimes when we get older we seem to become more timid about things…and really there is no reason for that to happen, if we just continue to trust our God and that regardless of age young or old we can continue to move forward trusting Him to show us the way without getting all our “what ifs” into the mix of things.
God is willing to help and I am willing to allow Him to help and look forward with great excitement to step out of my “comfort zone” and do my part. Thanks !!!

Hi Carol!
Thanks for your comments.
Remembering that God is both able and willing to help is a great way to have confidence in Him.
Have a great weekend!

Mike,

It has long been a dream of mine to visit the city of Florence and see the David statue. I’ve never figured out how that’s going to happen, it’s just always been a desire of my heart. There are many obstacles to my making that trip, but as you point out if we just look at the obstacles that’s all we’ll ever see, we’ll never see the solutions God has in store. The fear of failure does indeed keep people from acting; no action taken=no chance for failure. Of course, it also means there’s no chance of success, either!

Your exhortation to commit to succeed before you start an endeavor spoke loudly to me. If failure is not an option, then success is guaranteed. How awesome is that? Thanks for reminding us that God designed us for success.

So, I WILL travel to Florence and see the David, and perhaps even meet Francesca. I don’t know when, but I have decided to dust that particular dream off and take another look at it. Perhaps this time I’ll put a time frame on it, I’m not sure. But I’ve decided I’m going to Italy! Thank you for your podcasts. I’ve enjoyed each and every one.

Keep ‘em coming!

God bless you.

Hey, Chere, why not go ahead and set a date on that trip to Italy?
God bless you.
