It’s Time For Football!

It’s Another Podcast!

Kathy and I just got back from a wedding in Spokane.  Here’s a picture of the newlyweds, Will and Michelle.  Congratulations!

This podcast is not about marriage. I will do a podcast on that subject sometime, but since football season is here, I wanted to share about an interview I heard last year.  And, even though the interview was with an NFL player, there was something he said that is a great principle we can a all apply in living life.

Enjoy this podcast. It’s about 6 and a half minutes.

  1. I needed this one today….after a hard week…not going to worry about football games, will let Larry do that and he does..loves them.
It was a really good one, Mike, Rosie West (and Larry)

  2. Hi Rosie!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you liked this podcast.
Hope this week will be much, much better than last week.
    God bless you,
    Mike

  3. Hi Mike!
Well, that is about the most timely podcast I have heard. I have had a gut wrenching experience with some of my family members of which I will not spend any time in explanation, as I don’t believe the devil needs any glory. As you said it is a waste to focus on that which we can not control. We can not control the will of others nor does God control others wills. However, we can stay focused on God. As always he has an answer and a solution in His Word. Ephesians 6:13, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Solution: Epheisians 6:15-17. {Stand} and Ephesians 6:18 {Pray}. We have a God of all comfort. 11 Corithians 1:3,4.
    Thanks Mike !
    God Bless You!
    Carol

  4. Hi Carol!
I am glad this podcast hit home for you! And, thanks for your comments, I do appreciate it.
Yes, it is always better to focus on what you can control – it certainly is a lot less frustrating!
    God bless you,
    Mike

  5. Hi Tom!
I’m glad you liked this podcast; thanks for the comment.
There certainly are a lot of things outside of our control that we can get caught up in – it’s great that we have free will to decide what we are going to think about!
    God bless you,
    Mike
